Over the small break that I had between Christmas and New Years, I held a mini (micro even?) very informal workshop on photography. It was basically just having fun shooting, discovering techniques, using new tools and re-affirming the basic rules of composition and technical aspects to the beautiful art of photography. In a way it was very interesting teaching photography as It made me realise the amount of knowledge I had accumulated as a wedding and portrait photographer and where my strengths and weaknesses lie.
Which brings me to another topic – Passion about photography. The great thing about this craft is that there is still so much to learn and discover. I strongly believe in order to keep growing as a photographer that you continually need to read, look and just be inspired to what is happening around you. Step out of your comfort zone and try out new things. It may or may not work, but hey at least your learning and continually developing your craft.
Below are some of my fave shots of our model, Mai. A very patient and lovely person.
